"You can't go wrong with a band that samples Stewie, the maniacal British-accented infant with a perverse Oedipus complex from Fox's brilliant Family Guy series. Nor can you go wrong with a band toting a song titled "Forgiveness Isn't As Much Fun As Holding A Grudge." Add those thrashy riffs and gravelly wet vocals shrieks a la Dani Filth and Dan Weyandt [Zao] and you've got yourself a winner. Never Good Enough For You siphons from many metal tanks, including the crazed timing of the Dillinger Escape Plan along with Autobahn-fast blast beats and some Panterish-riffs. But KWD also traffics in moshy-prog a la Bloodlet and Zao with an occasional 80s glam vibe. How's that for eclectic? The samples on the record are copious and include snippets from Lord Of The Rings and Natural Born Killers to Memento, The Breakfast Club and The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane. Indeed, KWD has a sense of humor and a respect for incorporating the arts into its mix. If you want to careen across the spectrum, pick this up."
